Clean and Jerk 5x1xM.E.

Rest 5 minutes.

For time:

20 Handstand Push-ups

30 Toes-to-Bar

135/95 pound Thruster, 20 reps

30 KettleBell Swings, 32/24kg

135/95 pound Jerk, 20 reps

30 Pull-ups

Post loads and time to comments.

Coach Alex’s Notes:

Only work your way up to a heavy single if there are no technical flaws.  Concentrate on maintaining your torso position off the floor in the clean.  The hips should not elevate ahead of the shoulders.  Make sure you are pulling to a fully open hip and not jumping forward.  If your jerk looks like a push press or a mix between a push press and push jerk, lighten the load and work on your speed and technique.

todays workout sadly mirrored my sex life in many ways...

It looked all exciting at first...
and once I got going it seemed like it wasn't going to be that bad...
Then I soon realized i was way out of my league.
Soon everyone involved started to look sick and it appeared no one really wanted to be there anymore.
When it was all over no one really said anything.
And on the drive home I felt shame.

Seems like the only difference between this workout and my sex life is...
I wasn't the first one finished in the workout.

Oh Dustin, dont feel shame, at least you can brag about going the distance as this was no "quickie workout". You showed that you have balls and stamina and it was great to be "having sex" right along side you. And you are right I did finish first so perhaps I should feel the shame! It was great to have met you finally and I look forward to "doing it" with you again!

      My C&J was 120
WOD 14:53 did as perscribed execpt the HSPU. Still working on mastering those.

    29:08. 8:10 for the HSPU

Thanks for the great picture illustrating how not to do a clean. Heels up, knees buckling. In my defense I think it was clean #90 in badger.

C & J to 100 lbs if I recall correctly. That was fun. WOD modified HSPUs and thruster/jerk 80 lbs. Took forever, about a half hour. Can't quite recall. Its a miracle that I finished before Dustin.

    C&J - 205lbs
    WOD - 18:23 Rx'd

HSPU's weren't so bad for me, it was the 135lbs jerks that killed me!
