CROSSFIT MISSISSAUGA PALEO DIET CHALLENGE 2012 (2)

We have many new faces at CrossFit Mississauga these days so it's a perfect time to have another Paleo Challenge.

If you are on the fence about participating, please click here and read my post about the results from the last Paleo Challenge at CrossFit Bolton.

The challenge will run for 6 weeks beginning Monday September 17 and ending on Sunday October 28.

There will be a mandatory information session at CrossFit Mississauga on Wednesday September 5th from 7-9pm.  Please note there will not be a session at 7pm on the 5th.  Do not show up to expecting to train as the gym will be closed to those who aren't participating in the challenge.

Eric Vandermeersch and Alex Possamai will give a presentation on the Paleo Diet and how the challenge works.  The presentation will be followed by a question and answer period.

If you decide to participate you will receive the following:

- Paleo diet guidebook with a plethora of information

- List of paleo diet resources

- Diet log

- Shopping lists

- Meal plans

- Recipes

If you’d like to participate (and be eligible for the prize) you’ll

need the following:

- Completed diet log using point system

- Before and after pictures

- Before and after measurements

- Before and after blood work (optional)

- Before and after scores from complete benchmark workouts

- Written testimonial about your results upon completion

The benchmark workouts will be:

1 rep max deadlift

2000m row for time

50 Burpees for time

You must complete all three benchmark workouts once before Monday September 24 and again between October 22 and November 4.

The cost to register is $100 per person.  The cost is $20 for those that have done the challenge in the past but would like to participate again.

If you’d like to participate please confirm your registration with a payment BEFORE Sunday September 2nd so we print an adequate number of guidebooks before the info session.

The deadline to submit your package is Sunday November 4th.

The winners will be announced in early November and based on your performance improvements, body composition changes from before and after photos and measurements. Blood work is not required but preference will be given to people with significant blood work

improvements.

Winners will receive between 1-3 free months depending on the number of participants.

Deadlift 3x5xM.E.

Rest 5 minutes.

"Fran"

21-15-9 reps for time of:

95 pound Thruster

Pull-ups

Post time to comments.

I guess I'll do an 'invisible fran" today on the beach today

I did an invisible fran in my hotel room last week. I found I got a better workout doing the real thing this morning but don't let that stop you.

P.S. Invisible Fran is the worst workout I've ever heard of. I did it after a burpee-situp workout and it was still a waste of time.

Was that an invisible burpee-sit-up workout?

For coconut water, coconut milk, and whole coconuts try the West Indian/Caribbean stores just north of Dundas and Hurontario. They also have amazing tropical fruits and vegetables. Everything is imported from Jamaica or Trinidad and it's cheap. Multi-foods and Charlie's are in the same strip just past the CIBC. They are pretty competitively priced and have similar selections but the Muti-foods people are so so nice I recommend you look there first. Happy coconut'ing!
