OnRamp

How do I get started?

In order to begin training at CrossFit Mississauga you must book free consulation.  We will discuss your goals and decide if CrossFit is right for you.  We will help you decide whether to register for an OnRamp or book four personal training sessions.

 

What is OnRamp?

OnRamp is our introduction to CrossFit.  It is perfect for those trying CrossFit for the first time, or those already doing CrossFit but not quite ready to move into our group classes.

OnRamp will get you into a regular routine (three times per week, for two weeks) so that you’ll exercise for the rest of your life.  We will introduce you to our community and you’ll meet other CrossFit newbies.  You will sweat together and our Coaches will smile while they whip you into shape.

OnRamp sessions emphasize skill development and exposure to our basic movements.  Our expert Coaches focus on technique and mechanics first, then intensity.  We ensure your safety and prepare you to successfully enter our regular group sessions.

We will be showing you movements that begin with the relatively non-technical and progress to more technical.  It is important that you attend each of the sessions as the movements build upon one another.

There will be a quick (but tough) workout at the end of each session that will get increasingly challenging as they progress.  The difficulty of the workout is ultimately in your hands. The degree that you push yourself will determine how much suffering goes on.  We want you to eventually increase your intensity to the level that is inherent in our regular group sessions.

You must attend all of the OnRamp sessions in sequence on the dates you registered for.  The group will consist of up to four new members each session.

You must register for an OnRamp session 14 days prior to the start date.

 

When are sessions, how many classes does a session consist of?

 

Jan - 13, 15, 17, 20, 22, 24 - at 8pm

 

 

 

Feb. 3, 5, 7, 10, 12, 14 - at 8pm

 

 

 

March - 3, 5, 7, 10, 12, 14 - at 8pm

 

 

 

April - March 31, April 2, 4, 7, 9, 11 - at 8pm

 

 

 

May - 5, 7, 9, 12, 14, 16 - at 8:30pm

 

 

 

June - 9, 11, 13, 16, 18, 20 - at 8:30pm

 

 

 

July 7, 9, 11, 14, 16, 18 - at 8:30pm

 

 

 

August - 11, 13, 15, 18, 20, 22 - at 8:30pm

 

 

 

Sept. - 8, 10, 12, 15, 17, 19 - at 8:30pm

What if the session is full for the month but I want to start right away or what if the OnRamp days and times just don’t work for me?

We can put you on a wait list for a future session, or you can schedule four introductory one on one personal training sessions with a Coach.  A personal training intro session is 45-60 minutes long and consists of an active warm-up, skills practice, a workout and a cool-down.

 

I've done the OnRamp or four personal training sessions, now what?

You can choose one of several membership options that give you access to our regular group sessions after your 6 OnRamp sessions or four introductory personal training sessions are complete.

 

I have done CrossFit before, do I still need to do the OnRamp?
